- Lebanon Cityscape Painting
Lebanon Cityscape Series was panted to express my rage and sorrow against the violence and devastation that occurred in Beirut. Each painting is a response to a particular incident I have experience during my residence in in Beirut during the Civil war. The gestural brush strokes and emotive saturated colors are aggressively reinstated during the painting process to echo the construction and deconstruction of the war torn place. The series was painted from 1988 till 1994.
